The Samuel Boardman State Park is eleven miles of very rugged coastline of southern oregon which begins a little ways north of the town of Brookings. it is highlighted most of the way by forested high cliffs of rock juxtaposed against the sea. this makes for some of the most beautiful coastline in the world. some of the remnants of past rocky cliffs that have given way to the ever present ocean sit out in the water making rigid designs of natural art work in the blue ocean. some of these large chunks of rock art have passageways through them which create natural bridges, arches and caves. there are numerous coves and secret little beaches where the rocky cliffs escape the ocean at low tide and sometimes at high tide. some of these little beaches are accessible by hiking down from the passing US 101 highway.
