Nesika Beach is about a six mile stretch of southern oregon coastline. it begins just south of the quiet little residential area named Nesika Beach and runs north to the area known as Ophir. the “town” of Nesika Beach is modest and quiet, sports a small country store and the little post office for Ophir. according to the post office, Nesika Beach is an enclave of Gold Beach and sits about seven miles north of the mouth of the Rogue River. the actual town of Gold Beach occupies the south side of the Rogue River along the pacific coast. the residential area of Nesika Beach sits on top of about a 75′ high bluff that overlooks the ocean. the sandy beach below the bluff is terminated on the southerly end by a small rocky point. the north end of this six miles of sand is highlighted by the outflow of Euchre Creek. from one day to the next you never know what kind of a design the creek will cut through the sand in order to reach the sea.
